1894 and 1923 Cornell School Classes
This class picture was taken in 1894 in front of Cornell School. The girls in the lower right side are holding the chalkboard that names the school. The teacher is Miss LIzzie Wood.

One of the last classes to attend Cornell School was Mr. Price's class of 1923. Notice the changes from the 1894 photo. The doors are now white instead of the natural wood doors seen in 1894.

Young, unmarried women were usually hired for schools in the 1800's and early 1900's. However, the 1923 class had a male teacher.
